Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn Term. I hope that you have had a lovely half term break, and managed to have some lovely days out within the current pandemic framework.
We have returned to our school routine where bubbles do not mix and the mitigations for Covid19 are still in place as before.
It is a joy, when leaders stand at the gates to see the children come into school, happy to learn. We are still holding virtual whole school assemblies and all children can see how well their peers have quickly settled into their learning. Today we raised the flag up for Latham because they scored the most points last half term...well done to all children in Latham house!
We are pleased to welcome the Infants schoolchildren on to our site for the extended day services, and our kitchen will be up and running soon.
The clocks have now gone back and the days are getting shorter, kindly ensure that your child/ren can safely walk home on their own and fill in the required form for them to do so. In addition, can we remind you to make sure that as the weather changes and the children need extra clothing (hats, scarves, gloves etc.) that you clearly label all items. These can be kept safely in their coat sleeves before their coats are hung behind their chairs.
We appreciate your support in ensuring your children are safely dropped off in school and that masks are worn when around the school gates – Our safety, your safety and the children’s safety is important to us.
Remember not to send your child into school if they are unwell, however we are very pleased with the overall attendance last term and hope this will continue because the best place for your children to be in order to learn, is in school.
Thank you to you all.
