Pupil Premium & Recovery Premium

Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium Grant is an allocation of funding provided to schools to support children who may be vulnerable to underachievement. The amount received is dependent on the number of children who are eligible and have claimed for free school meals at any time in the last six years. All schools are required to report on the amount of funding and how this is being used.

Recovery Premium

Children and young people across the country have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19). Those from the most vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds will be among those hardest hit.

This year, the government has granted further  funding to support children and young people to catch up and to ensure that schools have the support they need to help all pupils make up for lost teaching time.
