Religious Education (R.E.) at Park Hill Junior School
At Park Hill Junior School we believe that Religious Education is an essential part of our curriculum. We want to promote pupils’ understanding of the multicultural and multi faith society that we live in today. Pupils are provided with opportunities to develop their spiritual, moral, cultural and social learning. Having learned about different faiths they will explore and express their own responses and personal beliefs.
Further to this, pupils will study: authority and worship, sacred and inspirational writing, lifestyle and celebrations and challenge units. Each year group will focus on religions agreed through the Croydon Sacre Syllabus. First hand experience visiting places of worship will be planned into the academic year, linked with the religion they are learning about, to encompass the diverse and unique community we live in.
