This page of the KidZone site is for you! This page will explain the aims and benefits of having your child access this site, but also explains how you can ensure your child's online safety.
Aim of PHJS KidZone:
To provide pupils with an online resource of safe, enjoyable, and selected risk-free educational resources. By encouraging your children to access this site, they will be improving their ICT skills in a safe and positive environment. We all know there are websites out there which are unsuitable for the eyes of children... however, hopefully now you can rely on a website which attracts the children due to it's 'cool' image, yet supports their learning and entertainment needs in a safe and enjoyable way.
Who controls PHJS KidZone?:
The site is managed and monitored by PHJS staff. Children and parents are encouraged to support and suggest ideas for the site at any time.
Do I need to monitor my child's access to KidZone?:
Kids will be kids, and there are harmful websites out there that none of us want the children to view. Therefore childrens' usage of the WWW should always be unobtrusively monitored. The PHJS KZ site is as safe as we can possibly make it, which is why we invite you to browse around this site too (just without the kids knowing!) That way, you can encourage the use of the site - knowing it's positive influence on your children. External sites are NOT monitored for content, but should be safe for children's use as they are well-known child-friendly sites. Please supervise your child when accessing external links from this site.
I've more questions. Who do I talk to?
Mr Stainsbury. My classroom door is always open! (Except Christmas day... J)
